40 thieves specialty coffee world map

Origins: Black Gold - Dark Roast Espresso

A meticulous six-component espresso built from Central America, South America, East Africa, and Southeast Asia. Balanced shot, thick crema, zero bitterness. Central America brings cocoa, caramel, and almond sweetness for a steady base. South America deepens the body with milk chocolate and toasted sugar. East Africa lifts the top notes with bright citrus and gentle florals. Southeast Asia adds spice, syrupy depth, and crema stability.

Processing and Altitude

Primarily washed lots for clarity, complemented by select natural and honey components that amplify sweetness and crema. Central and South America sit around 1,000 to 2,000 meters, East Africa reaches roughly 1,700 to 2,000 meters, and Southeast Asia ranges near 900 to 1,600 meters. The combination preserves structure while delivering a silky, sugar-forward shot. Taste takeaway: dark chocolate and caramel at the core, candied citrus and subtle smoky on the finish, long and clean in milk or straight. Roasted to order for peak freshness.

What Makes Specialty Coffee Worth Stealing?

Specialty coffee isn't just marketing hype. It's a rigorous grading system that ensures only the top 3% of coffee in the world earns the title.
Here's why it matters for your morning cup.↴

Top 3% Quality: Only beans scoring 80+ points (out of 100) by certified tasters qualify as specialty grade.
Zero Defects: No broken beans, no under-ripes, no mold. Every bean is hand-sorted for perfection.
Full Traceability: We know exactly where, when, and how your coffee was grown. Direct trade relationships matter.
Peak Freshness: Specialty coffee loses 60% of its flavor within 30 days of roasting. That's why we roast to order.
Ethical Sourcing: Fair wages for farmers. Sustainable practices. Coffee that tastes good and does good.
